Within the Erasmus+ program in the field of sports, the European Union (EU) encourages the development of a European dimension in sport, especially at the amateur level.
The new generation of the Erasmus+ program (2021-2027) promotes the mobility of sports staff for the purpose of cooperation, learning, inclusion, quality improvement, creativity, and innovation at the level of sports organizations and policies. The sports component of the Erasmus+ program emphasizes international projects that deal with the inclusion of the widest population in sports and physical activities, as well as promoting healthy lifestyles among all generations.
From 2024, calls related to mobility in sports will also be opened. Applicants can be public and private organizations and institutions from the field of sports. They can participate in the mentioned projects as partners as well.
