Farmers in Montenegro can apply for available programs, initiatives, and support according to the conditions set by the European Union or agreements between the EU and Montenegro.

The Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in Rural Development, IPARD, is a support program for rural development that is part of the accession process of Western Balkan countries to the European Union. The IPARD program provides financial support to farmers and the rural sector to enhance agricultural production, strengthen the rural economy, and contribute to sustainable development.

Through the implementation of the IPARD III program, Montenegrin farmers will have a total of 81,975,947 euros in grants available, of which EU funds amount to 63,000,000 euros (62% more compared to the previous IPARD II program), and national co-financing amounts to 18,975,947 euros. With the contribution of the users, the implementation of the IPARD III program will invest about 128 million euros in Montenegrin agriculture.
