How to Stay Competitive While Remaining Authentic

At a time of rapid change and ever-increasing demands in the European labour market, a key question for young people is: how can they prepare for entry into the European Union, and, more importantly, for the futures that lie ahead?

These and many other questions were addressed by ICF coach Milena Nikolić during the workshop “Career Skills for the Future of Europe”, held at Europe House Bar, which brought together young people eager to develop their professional skills and gain a clearer vision of their career paths.

Through practical examples, hands-on tools, and interactive activities, participants explored how to present themselves on the European labour market, highlight their skills, and build competitiveness while remaining authentic. Particular emphasis was placed on personal branding, effective communication, building self-confidence, and defining a clear professional trajectory.

The workshop also opened an important dialogue on future employment trends and the competencies that will be crucial across Europe — from adaptability and digital skills to emotional intelligence and strategic thinking.

The programme continues on 25 February, when participants can expect new ideas, fresh knowledge and further opportunities for professional development.
