The organisers of the event emphasised that Europe Day symbolises unity, solidarity and the richness of diversity that connects us, and that these values are best celebrated through music as a universal language.
“We are marking Europe Day alongside gifted young people who have been achieving success for quite some time through tremendous hard work and the selfless support of their teachers. Tonight’s concert is also the annual concert of the pupils of the Primary School of Music Education, which is led with great dedication by Headmistress Julka Vukićević. We have a diverse programme, ranging from pupils playing the violin, flute, piano and accordion, to solo singing,” said Vasilija Furtula, Event Officer at Europe House in Bijelo Polje.

On behalf of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, the Head of the Office for International Cooperation, Damir Mustajbašić, addressed those present and expressed his satisfaction with the marking of Europe Day.
“Only a few weeks ago, the Municipality of Bijelo Polje received an award entitled the European Diploma from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, in recognition of its exceptional contribution to the promotion of European values and the importance of international cooperation, and the marking of important dates such as this is one of the key criteria,” Mustajbašić stated.

The event was organised through the cooperation of Europe House and the Primary School of Music Education in Bijelo Polje.
