The European Pub Quiz has embarked on its tour across Montenegro, with the new edition launched in Nikšić. In a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, 12 teams with around 40 participants tested their general knowledge, as well as their understanding of the European Union, its Member States, culture, history, and sports.
The best results were achieved by the team “Barney Gumble”, while “Bibi Dixi Supervixi” and “Erasmus” took second and third place, respectively. The winners could not hide their enthusiasm.
“It was absolutely brilliant — the atmosphere was fantastic and everything was organised to a really high standard. We had such a great time, loads of fun, and we’re genuinely delighted,”
said Nikola Đurović from the winning team, Barney Gumble.
The European Pub Quiz was also an opportunity to refresh knowledge and learn something new.
“We already knew quite a lot about the European Union, its organisation and how it functions, but there were many things we learnt tonight that we didn’t know before. We’ll definitely make use of that in some future quizzes,” explained Ksenija Miletić from the winning team, Barney Gumble.
The quiz was jointly organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Ministry of European Affairs, through the Europe House and EU4ME projects, in cooperation with quiz author Zoran Miljanić.
The European Pub Quiz aims to promote European values and knowledge about the European Union in a fun and interactive way — through play, socialising and team spirit. The audience and the participants once again demonstrated that learning about Europe can be engaging, competitive and full of positive energy.
The tour continues — the next stop for the quiz is Podgorica on 19 November, and soon, quiz enthusiasts in Bar, Bijelo Polje, Budva, and Berane will also have the chance to showcase their knowledge.
