The European Pub Quiz continued its tour across Montenegro, stopping in Podgorica last night, where teams gathered at the Academy of Beer to face off and test their knowledge through engaging and challenging quiz tasks.

In a competitive atmosphere filled with plenty of laughter, good answers, and here and there a bit of luck, 13 teams with a total of 55 participants took part. Knowledge of general culture, history, geography, pop culture and, of course, the European Union was put to the test throughout the evening. The teams themselves represented a miniature European Union.

“It’s a lot of fun and we’re here with other Erasmus programme participants, and it’s very interesting,” explained Angela Paluan, a student from Italy.
She and her team had fun, but also had their minds on victory.

“We’re very happy and we’re having a great time here. We’re trying to win,” said Daniel Velande, a student from Spain.
The best result and first place went to the team K.K. Slakaši from Podgorica, and, through a random draw, the teams 081–085 and Pobjednici bez pokrića also received prizes. Still, the quiz participants themselves confirm that rewards are not the primary motivation for participating.

“I would certainly recommend organising such events further, simply because they’re beneficial for those of us already working in fields related to the European Union, as it’s an excellent opportunity for us, as well as for all other participants, to gain a deeper insight into the beauty of the European diversity,” said Hamdija Begović, quiz participant.

The quiz, organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Ministry of European Affairs, once again demonstrated that learning about the EU can be fun, spontaneous, and accessible to everyone – with team spirit, competitive drive and great energy.

The European Pub Quiz tour continues – the next stops are Bar, Budva, Berane and Bijelo Polje, where quiz lovers will have another chance to show their knowledge and also have loads of fun.
