The Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, in partnership with the Capital City of Podgorica, through the EU projects EU4ME and Europe House, are organising EU Day at the Podgorica bazaar on Saturday, 20 December, at Independence Square, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The first edition of this event features a diverse and dynamic programme, highlighted by a mini-concert by Snežana Ljubojević, a vocalist of exceptional warmth who has recently won the hearts of audiences across the region with her emotion and voice.

“EU Day at the Podgorica bazaar is conceived as a gathering that brings together art, entertainment and knowledge – offering numerous easily understandable and interactive opportunities for children, young people and the elderly to discover the values that make up the European community. We invite all citizens to join us and celebrate together the first edition of this event in an atmosphere of positive energy, music, creativity and engaging experiences for the whole family,” the organisers said.
The event will be opened by the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević, and the President of the Municipal Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović. This will be followed by performances by the Vocalists Choir under the baton of conductor Saša Barjaktarović and the Children’s Choir of the public institution “Zahumlje”, conducted by Ivana Popović. The audience will enjoy well-known European pop and rock songs, while the artistic segment of the programme will be enriched by a creative workshop for children, “Super Zvjezdana through a Drawing Class”.

The youngest visitors will once again have their own special corner through EU games with Žarko the Frog, who, together with representatives of the Ministry of European Affairs, will explain to children in a fun way what it means to be part of the European community and what EU membership brings to Montenegro.

For fans of new technologies, the Pollinator Park will also be available – a futuristic virtual reality presentation of the world of pollinators. Visitors will be able to discover how important bees and other species are for the ecosystem and how the perfect connection between plants and their “little helpers” functions.
Throughout the entire programme, the EU booth will be open with a fun knowledge quiz, and the most successful participants can look forward to prizes.
