ČEK: Emotional Literacy Workshops

To mark the European Mental Health Week, Europe House is launching a series of free emotional literacy workshops, which will take place from 19 May to 27 June 2025. The workshops will be held at the premises of Europe House in Podgorica. The first session is scheduled for 19 May, coinciding with the opening day of European Mental Health Week (19–25 May). The remaining sessions will be held every Thursday, in line with the “ČEk – Thursday at Europea House” events which address engaging and socially relevant topics

The programme consists of six thematically focused workshops, scheduled on the following dates: 19 May, 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June and 26 June, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 P. This educational series is open t the general public. Young people, in particular, eager to gain a deeper understanding of emotions, improve daily communication, and develop emotional skills essential for personal and professional growth, are especially encouraged to participate.

The workshops are organised in cooperation with psychologist and psychotherapist Milena Žujović. Milena is the founder of the Psychological Centre “Psihosfera”, and the workshops she will lead are based on the principles of transactional analysis. This psychological approach that facilitates better understanding of oneself and interpersonal relationships. Over the course of six sessions, participants will explore concepts such as ego states, emotional patterns, communication styles, self-sabotage mechanisms, and the importance of emotional expression. Through theoretical frameworks and practical exercises, participants will be provided with tools for constructive emotional expression, improved self-regulation, and healthier relationships.

Each workshop is 150 minutes long and takes place in a trust-based environment that encourages openness, reflection, and exchange. The programme is accessible to all and requires no prior psychological knowledge—just an interest in personal development and a willingness to listen to one’s emotional world.

Citizens who wish to improve the quality of their relationships—with themselves and with others—and who want to learn how to recognise and understand their emotional responses are warmly invited to join this valuable programme. Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory due to a limited number of spots. Since the workshops form a coherent cycle, with themes that build on each other, we encourage interested individuals to attend all sessions.

ČEK out—Thursday at  Europe House is your chance to turn your emotions into a tool for a better everyday life.
