As part of the cross-border project “Cultural Revival from Lake Skadar to Kosovo (TIME TRAVEL)”, funded by the European Union, a thematic walking trail, the “Heritage Trail,” has been established in Petnjica, to promote and enhance the cultural heritage of the Petnjica region for tourism purposes.
The project is implemented by the Community Development Fund (CDF), in partnership with the Municipality of Klina, the Centre for Sustainable Tourism Initiatives (CSTI) from Podgorica, and the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro (NTOCG).

The circular walking route begins in the centre of Petnjica, near the Municipal building, and passes through Koraćki Karst, the Torine archaeological site, Radman Cave, and the primary school in Radmanci.
As highlighted by the project leaders, the thematic trail presents both the literary talent and the archaeological wealth of the Petnjica area. In addition to the literary legacy of the traditional “Heritage Trail” gatherings organised by the Petnjica Cultural Centre, the route is also dedicated to the writer Ćamil Sijarić, who was born in the Bihor region.

“At two of the most significant Montenegrin archaeological sites – Torine and Radman Cave – the trail’s content focuses on prehistory and the remains of human communities dating back several thousand years. These two themes are presented on illustrated tourist information boards. It is important to note that the content of the thematic trail is bilingual,” project representatives stated.
The TIME TRAVEL project has been ongoing since 2023 and is being implemented over a period of 30 months.
