European Pub brought a competitive atmosphere, team coordination and questions from a range of fields, to Budva. Over several rounds, participants tested their knowledge of the European Union, its Member States, culture, history and other interesting facts. Eight teams took part in the quiz, and the competition was based on collaborative work and the swift agreement of answers within each team.
The highest number of points was won by the team Pregaoci, while prizes were also awarded to the mid-table team (fourth-placed Podkošljunci) and to one of the teams at the lower end of the standings (seventh-placed Botunjani). The participants themselves also shared their impressions.
“To be honest, I am very pleased, especially considering that this is only the second time I have ever taken part in a quiz. I came here at my brother’s suggestion, and through teamwork, we achieved this result. We are truly happy and satisfied. The questions were not easy at all; at the beginning, they were easier, but as the quiz progressed, they became more difficult. Nevertheless, through teamwork, we managed to achieve this result,” said Nives Savić from the team Pregaoci.
Another participant, Sergej Stojanovski, also shared his impressions of the quiz and said he would recommend such an experience to everyone.
“My impressions are very positive; I expected the questions to be more difficult. In any case, it was interesting and competitive. I enjoy pub quizzes and would recommend that all my friends come and take part,” said Sergej Stojanovski.
Quiz enthusiasts will have further opportunities to test their knowledge and socialise at upcoming editions in Berane and Bijelo Polje.
The European Pub Quiz is organised by the Ministry of European Affairs and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, through the EU4ME and Europe House projects, in cooperation with the quiz author Zoran Miljanić. European Pub Quiz aims to bring information about the European Union closer to citizens in an accessible and engaging way. So far, the quiz has been held in Podgorica, Nikšić and Bar.
